We didn't quite leave the dock this episode but we got some projects wrapped up and put Fischer to work!

we didn't quite make it off the dock

this week due to some bad weather but it

gave us some extra time to wrap up some

are lingering projects all right so

today fisher is going to be cleaning out

the starboard side fuel tanks have you

gotten the cover off yet

and working on that for a while buddy so

the first step to cleaning out the tanks

is we have to remove this floor panel

and then we have to remove the cap we

have to remove the cover plate take out

all the old seal flush out all the old

diesel fuel clean it vacuum it all out

same thing we did on the port side or

that I did but this is Fisher's task and

he doesn't seem to be progressing very

quickly that little knob he's playing

with it's supposed to come up Fisher you

got to pull it up buddy you got to pull

it up just like that okay

yeah he's taking this time I think we'll

get there another task was to replace

the roller Furler which allows you to

stow and deploy the headsail after we

purchased by you we realized ours was

broken so we've never had a chance to

fly the jib I had to climb the mast to

remove the old components get a

replacement part machined and then

reinstall the assembly back on deck all

right well it all fits together but uh

it doesn't go past this point so that

means I get to take it all apart put it

back together again pretty much

everything you do on a boat is like that

um I have to install have to take out

this old

I'll take hose which has some old man's

poop on it still and then I got to put

the hose up the whole system with the

vented loop and the Y valves and

everything when we get to Texas you love

you let's have it unless the bended loop

is an anti spicing thing you have to

come out here it keeps the toilet there

was a discharge tank aka the poo water

from siphoning into the toilet bowl and

overflowing into our homes I'm thinking

it

well those do Oliver but we're going to

underway from now on so kissable good

idea people are closing because we don't

have a washing machine and a dryer well

soon we'll have our central heat and air

going so that's good

oh my gosh this is cleaning out the fuel

tank

you said he would do it but he hasn't

even opened the hatch cover yet

this is pretty cute Fisher wanted to

look out the porthole so he's holding

himself up now what do you see captain

good and standing up like that

next week we finally leave the dock and

go on a week-long scale to Panama City
