so this is our last night at sea

potentially where it should be but we're

about 30 or 40 miles to go

we put up the main to the first reef

this afternoon on brother flight works

the window sees gone up but and we're

feeling we need another reason the night

just to diminish the whole time your son

ending it windier or roughly they see

right so I think cautionary thing now so

we'll do that just a little bit of

Jinora and the second reef on the main

this young took the helm wolfing and I

did to work up on the mast here we are

there we've seen the lights got it kept

ringing you don't charge Wendy you do

actually hate phone again so much for

the disadvantage

four or five hours away and it's

contemplating the next phase of our

Waitangi grounds very very sacred part

of New Zealand history and then around

here some islands and then there's pie

here it's quite a good trusty spot and

on ahead let's hope her we hit it

towards near chicken

we're going we just drive you just you

just saw her drive there we just got

down but it didn't didn't hit anybody I

didn't catch her much of that job

because I was on the ground with the

camera there we go the car ferry behind

us beautiful on this gray day oh poor

New Zealand this is our first ever trip

to opera we're surrounded by car ferries

taking people across the bay no doubt

one or two of those cars

people to the meet-and-greet it's very

exciting

Ivan is just going through his

repertoire for the meet-and-greet today

he wants to give them the whole live an

experience that's not says hit the right

note and everybody so they really know

what he thought about yeah

it's really giving you everything you go

I think they're gonna really appreciate

it your time you're putting in there

Ivan we're quite pumped up big crowds

yeah also getting a little creative

creating cards thank-you cards but

everyone shows up yeah just say we

so we've checked in people run and with

phoned chasing stars because we were

hoping they'd still be up here in

Northland somewhere but they're down in

Auckland which is actually very

fortuitous because Rob is doing a talk

in Auckland tomorrow and so he has to

drive down there and we're gonna hitch a

ride with him and stay in the hotel with

him so we could all meet up with chasing

stars so that would be great but first I

need to go and have a shower well what

difference that makes on the first

morning back they showered and it was

good and tell you live without water or

you're on a water rationing you don't

really appreciate how good showers are

how good flushing toilets are all those

little things you take for granted you

really look forward to when you are

living on a boat next day we jumped in

the car and headed for Auckland city of

sails to reconnect with the wonderful

chasing stars fairly good girl

at the hotel while the others swam fin

kicked off his seasons rowing training

starting some four months behind his

competitors happily Ivan's hours of

dedication to his craft didn't go to

waste after a walk up One Tree Hill he

was able to WoW the captive audience

with his dance moves there wasn't a dry

eye in the house

but maybe that was due to Rachel and

Jen's running man dance off or analogy

to sheep it's anybody's guess all in all

it was time well spent and a great start

to the New Zealand chapter of our

adventure
