morning guys need breakfast on the go
doesn't always have to be difficult to
make we're going to do something today a
little almost like a tater time self
made tater tots you can do a lot of
different things with these we're going
to make a little cupcake tins out of
them in some scrambled eggs you can
actually add anything you want to this
make them up ahead of time heat them up
when you get ready to go quick and easy
well here's all we're gonna need to make
this kind of fun dish now you can add
just about anything you want to this
kind of stuff you know we're gonna need
a few potatoes and I've diced up some
ham some sausage I've got some grated
cheese onion and then we're going to use
some corn starch I'm gonna season this
with onion powder garlic powder
seasoning salt a little bit of oil
of course our eggs balls to mix things
in the cupcake tins and a grater now
I've already preheated the oven to 400
degrees and then let's get started with
the base mix now this is gonna be our
base mix I'm gonna add a little oil to
it yeah it looks yeah there we go
our seasoned salt I'm gonna see and you
know you can season this any way you
would like I mean you could put cumin in
there you could put Italian seasoning
some red pepper but this is all we're
gonna do
now now the cornstarch is a thickening
agent we're going to use that to help
hold this together when it bakes because
the potatoes are going to have some
moisture in it it's gonna dissolve the
cornstarch well now I've got our mix our
base mix and here what I'm going to do
with this is just make like little
potatoes you happen to find a scoop here
at my son's house I don't carry one on
the boat you can just use a spoon of
course and now I'm going to fill this
and then these are gonna bake in this
for about 12 minutes you know the
reality guys is I found it's easier just
use my hand here put a little bit in you
don't need that food scoop now I've
added all those little ingredients that
I had the onion ham and sausage now
we're gonna take the scrambled eggs pour
that in mix it together and put them in
our cupcake tin now I did put a little
bit of oil into each of these although
it's a nonstick pan but I had another
thought I just found these cupcake tins
I wonder how that would turn out and I
put a couple of these in the cupcake
tins and see how that turns out I don't
know how it's gonna work
we'll find out together so then we just
spoon this in and the thing about having
the oven at a higher temperature
hopefully it's gonna cause these to rise
a little bit we'll see how it turns out
we'll be back and now these are probably
gonna cook I'm gonna say 12 minutes but
we'll check them an 8 we'll be back in a
little bit well let's take a look
and how things are progressing now these
look like they're just about finished
of course these I just put in hey guys
just a little safety tip here something
I learned a long time ago a hard way
see these st. these myths that you use
like this I hate these things
if you spill liquid on this or oil or
whatever you have you've got your hand
in there and you get this wet and anyway
from steam or what you can't get this
off your hand fast enough you are gonna
burn the hell out of your hand so even
though it's a myth I never wear them I
just use them as a hot pad just a little
safety tip from my perspective and
learning the hard way well let's take a
look at our little tater tots see
they're gonna come out of there really
nice little bite-sized bits you know you
could have banded or I could have added
some of the ham and cheese to this as
well
and you can make these up ahead of time
there we go and then just heat them up
all right well our little eggy things
here they took about 18 minutes you know
just kind of went around them with a
little butter knife here to break them
loose let him sit in the pan here for a
little bit to settle in here we're gonna
let this cool for a little bit longer
see how while that peels off but now
you've got a one-handed breakfast you
can set sail early in the morning just
heat these up and you're ready to go it
could be a lunch item too so there you
have it guys little finger food potato
snack for lunch dinner or breakfast
really good hmm
let's take a look at how our egg came
out here in the paper maybe if I let
this sit a little bit longer it'd be
better see it's not coming out real
clean I don't know I I probably won't
use this again in the future I'll just
use it Tim well until next time guys
happy and safe boating do you your
family and friends go to petite
you
