We went back for more sailing out in the sea. With more trial and error now I'm getting a little more familiar with Galopin. The sea was littered with jelly fish that looked like garter belts for can-can dancers. And it rained like it never rains in the south of France, so we went to discover more goodies until the sun let us sail again gloriously.

we're going out again or practice with
get open I'm trying to figure things out
learn the ropes like making sure the
mainsail halyard is not going to tangle
up in the lazy bag okay got it
I figured out later that there was a
locking wrench to keep the mainsail in
the masts track experience is cute
we noticed the French customs ship and
since we're navigating in a way
clandestine I hope that they wouldn't
try to contact us gallopin and not yet
receives its registration papers so we'd
have to do some explaining but they
kindly waited for us to exit the marina
so they could
I gave me constructions but it was a bit
overwhelmed
with me get now I let the general sell
there are some residual waves which felt
like finally at sea
yep you can course so that the genoise
would unfurl once the boat was set I
turned the engine off and let gallop and
gently glide
all right third outing it's a great day
light winds I can't tell you how fast
the winds are because my wind meter or
whatever you call it in English well any
on that skin French is not functioning
so I don't know what kind of speed we're
having we're doing two and a half knots
just kind of cruising along testing it
out in the wave just some residual waves
here about meter and a half or so but
it's fun today we're gonna sail to Spain
right mica it's kind of scared shitless
is to find as much a weird jellyfishing
net in the water I don't know where they
come from is bizarre those jellyfish
looked like garter belts from French
can-can girls I can't want to go in the
bathroom and the in the toilet but told
them not to because I closed the through
holes the sea-cocks and plus we're angle
this way here there won't be any water
coming in to the toilet if he opens his
he and pumps it she's a mature
thing is about me k he's really cool but
he's an engineer and he constantly wants
to correct things and tell you what to
do even though when he doesn't know what
he's talking about what he's doing so
then one annoying thing about Mika his
insistence to just do things his way
whether he's wrong or right well that's
okay I'm the skipper I'm the captain I
can tell them off so which I have a
couple times all right okay so here we
are in Kenny vlog in the car because
because this is Kenneth Lodge and we're
gonna find a place to eat that we saw an
internet because me can't wanted to
visit Kenny applaud and so it's just
about 20 minutes from get up on polar
cat and it's like a pretty big kind of
tourist town but the weather is
absolutely miserable man surfing in this
kind of weather those guys are sick
couple surfers man these are guys are
sick but I'm too old for that we're
going on a food excursion kiss me kids
hungry
okay so we're gonna try another another
meal here in the can apply the kids love
for food is just short of astonishing he
was driven the taste the best fish soup
he could so was I
on out on a beautiful day and infest out
our first full day of sailing it's gonna
be a real test of endurance courage and
all-around good time to see if we can
make sandwiches and sail at the same
time and maybe even drink a beer do you
think that's possible mica there's very
little tides and in the Mediterranean so
don't matter that I fail my tidal thing
I know I keep going on about this
that's with the Kyle that so what I'll
get them and here there's very little
tide it's like 50 centimeters maybe a
meter I don't know doesn't seem like
much
so I'm feeling pretty accomplished you
know to fortify myself put up the sails
by myself and got up on his fairly easy
to maneuver as a solo person am I gonna
say it's easy nothing's easy but or jinx
myself
this is absolutely amazing I've done it
I'm sailing in the open ocean basically
in my own and just absolutely
extraordinary
I can feel it I can taste doors to the
world opened up to me
I mean holy this thing is just one
big wide-open door I can just sail right
through it let it take me to all sorts
of wonderful places my goodness
on I guess windward so the wind is
behind us obviously
sales are in scissor formation and we're
doing about three and a half knots you
want to make sure that we get back
before this it's a whole lot of whatever
is going on over there it stays over
there and impurity mountains it's okay
but it comes this way or it's gonna be
pretty stormy so we want to get back
before then play it safe it's funny
because the water has now turned all
kind of greenish where before when we
were out further out deeper it was nice
and dark blue okay it's getting pretty
wicked now we're getting close to the
marina but look at and this little storm
front there is getting pretty big so
we're getting ourselves back in just in
time I think because this looks wicked
man wicked nasty
so because I are a fine eating
establishment and look at Tommy kids
trying his third to poop what's more
fish soup so we'll see if this is the
best one to boozing up for this I can
already taste the fish which I was not
able to taste all the time the fish some
having sweetbreads which I love and
never cook I can never make sweet frets
and that's why I'm having sweepers and
me kids having saint-pierre also known
as st. Peter's fish and I'm having read
wall or sweetbreads Tom let's imagine a
goat cheese with cherry
you
