Winded Voyage is really under way! No turning back. We haven't been on land since we left Port Leucate France. We leave mainland Spain behind for our first major passage. First overnight sail for me and Steph. I though it would be somewhat intimidating to be alone out at sea in the dark, but it was an amazing experience. The moon was like an eyelash barely reflecting the sun's light which made the Milky Way more visible than I've ever seen before. There was no visible horizon line between sea and sky, so it felt as if we were floating in space, cruising in the infinite universe. Then hundreds of fluorescent blue jelly fish appeared under the stirred wake of Galopin. There were stars above and below! At sunrise we saw whales which may have been Sperm Whales. We finally got some wind and sailed into Ciutadella on the island of Minorca Spain.

good morning everyone
day three you wake up and call for the
Mongol Spain with the idea in mind to
traverse to in Oregon we just got up and
lift anchor and take off to be an
overnight crossing passage hmm
gonna be interesting on first the first
passage overnight it shall be
interesting
I started east of 80
left port about 3-4 hours ago light
winds
so we're motor sailing which is the
mainsail passing by a fishing trawler so
we gave it enough room to pass behind it
and because it's dragging Nets probably
falling whatever kind of cheating going
the motor sailing at this at the moment
have been for quite a while
and the dudes Nico and step 4
trying to find something or trying to
catch something Nico had a had a bite
left a few little marks on his lure step
he's definitely into the finding the
right lure he's driven to catch
something all right we almost lost our
boom as we took the mainsail down Nicola
realized there was a couple of washers
on deck and something was wrong then you
realized that the bolt that holds the
phone to the
masked and fallen out the screw is still
in there and everything but luckily we
found the
stuck just behind one of the winches and
Nikolaidis reportedly boom back on
should have been a little bit of an
incident here so incident avoided Thank
You Nico
yeah are they planning that way a zombie
party
first night cruising all night long
non-stop we're gonna take chips
Nikolai's set up around steps gonna
start I'm gonna go to second you go I
was gonna go third and so forth so just
had dinner I'm bout ready to go take a
nap because my shift has come down
coming up at 12:00 about ten o'clock
we are night on the boat to cool
absolutely extraordinary to sail in the
middle of night like this
the sky is incredibly starry there was
no horizon in sight no line between sea
and sky heaven and earth I was riding a
ship through infinity only lit up like
speckles dusty glowing river of the
Milky Way and then de jelly's appeared
they were everywhere is glowing under
the wake of gallop on the ripples of the
bow illuminated them with every little
splash in the spin of the propeller
bubbled with hundreds of multi-sized
gooey balls of fluorescent blue
experience
and you literally feel like I'm sailing
through space
extraordinary astonishing I can't find
the words I wish I could show you the
jellyfish but only the camera can
capture there were stars above and
beneath me I was riding gallop I'm
cruising through the universe no longer
on planet Earth but gently cruising
weightless lay on my vessel
just saw first Wales whole part of them
they look like pilot whale 7:00 in the
morning we'll be able to put the sails
up
we're sailing at the motor on 4
12 hours
pretty amazing conditions now total
broad reach and getting close to the
seven knots waves are starting to build
up a little bit but it's really really
nice really cool Niko that's taking a
break so it's me incepted are in charge
I'm at the helm took in a few degrees 10
degrees to prevent a dive
okay we're right off the coast of
menorca and making our way to a city or
town called daditude Andrews sued Adela
called to develop
looks pretty pretty savage and wild here
except a little further and there's a
bunch of hotels here we're just going to
check in with the port authorities
that's one of the reasons we're so happy
to have our own boat
