so let's do it let's do it a week in
marmaris
yeah what machine could we get up to
we've already
done something that's a good start
[Music]
it's 6 30 monday morning and we are up
before the sparrows have even started
farting
the reason why we're up so early is
because our next
destination is marmaris we're going into
the
sette marina there and calculating
the travel time at five knots it's a ten
hour trip
now it's more than likely we're going to
do more than five knots on average
so it will be less than 10 hours but we
als always um
calculate to five knots and that gives
us our
maximum theoretical time behind me we
can see the moon
which is just one day away from being a
full moon she's just about to go down
behind the hills over there time to prep
the boat time to get ourselves rugged up
because it's still very cold
even though we're coming up to the end
of march and uh
we'll get this show on the road
[Music]
[Applause]
[Music]
[Music]
so
[Music]
[Music]
[Music]
it's always amazing when you see a
fishing boat
especially a little tinny like that you
come around the corner and you're right
i need to go in that direction the
fishing boat will always be
in your direct line it's it's the law of
the sea
[Music]
[Music]
look how deep some of this water is
that's meters
that's nearly 1600 meters deep there
it's quite amazing to think that there's
that much water
under the boat actually it doesn't
they're thinking about really
it's seven hours since we hopped our
anchor at gemma and just behind me
is the entrance into the big bay and
marmaris
so this is the only entrance into the
marmaris bay area
and we're going to go through here and
come around here
and i'll just bring the chart up a
little bit for you and
in there is the seto marina
that we're going to be birthing at but
we booked a week in setter marina as
part of our
free stay contract conditions and we may
or may not stay for that week but
we figured if we book a week we can
always leave early if we want to
last time we were here we anchored uh
just about there
probably not expecting a lot of traffic
at this time of year but in the
summer season months then this is
hectic with boats coming in and out at
all sorts of speeds
so you have to take a lot of care and
attention right now
as i said being the end of march we're
not expecting a lot of traffic
at all
[Music]
they like their gray hair look gray sail
a great boat and that's not a navy ship
that's just a regular boat
massive
we'll ais in and add a lot more to it
[Applause]
ph 72
this is sailing yacht abc abc abc
[Music]
uh yes good afternoon port morris um we
have
booked in for one week from the cash
marina
with like assistance
thank you very much this is abc standing
by on the 72.
[Music]
[Applause]
hello
how many days one night no
uh one week one week
[Music]
come
[Music]
so
[Music]
[Applause]
oh
that's all right
[Music]
foreign
[Music]
[Music]
okay
oh
back back
[Applause]
okay
[Music]
me
[Music]
oops
[Music]
[Music]
okay
[Music]
[Music]
oh
well that was certainly a very different
experience than cash marina
this is the lead up into the harbor
itself then you take a
sharp right into here uh the marinara's
come from here
and they met us here i spun abc around
at this point
and reversed and followed the marinara's
up here
these fairways in comparison to cash
are minuscule and one of the biggest
fears i had
was the the bow lines the slime lines
coming off boats either side
i was really concerned that our keel was
going to catch onto them
because you can see them in the water
and you think i'm just so close to that
we've reversed into here we don't need
to use our passerelle because they've
got us right up against the concrete
pontoon
did have a little mishap on the way in
with
uh the stainless steel of our davits
smashing one of their fire alarm
fittings on a pole
on the key side so we're in it's all
good nobody died
oh here we are in marmose and we only
broke one thing
yeah i hope they don't bill us for it
so that took us eight hours exactly
eight hours
yeah so what we're going to do right now
is put the boat to bed
finish off editing this saturday's video
which is coming out
for patrons on tuesday which is tomorrow
so we've really got to get our
fingers to the keyboard yeah um and
we've got to go to where's the
office oh yeah we've got to go to the
office which is over that way behind us
and just
basically say hi we're here i get the
key cards
for gates and showers so
let's do it let's do it a week in
marmaris yeah what machine could we get
up
we've already done some of that that's a
good start
