Last time on sailing Balachandra we

crossed the Gulf Stream, we arrived in

the Berry Islands, Bahamas and I had some

luck fishing off the back of the boat

hey guys so we're still in the Berry

Islands. We left Great Harbour Cay

Yesterday and arrived between Devils Cay

and Hoffman's Cay here and it's just

gorgeous! The water color is amazing!

it's just paradise... so today we're gonna

go over to check out this blue hole I

guess it's pretty awesome is like a cave

that you can jump into and swim so that

sounds pretty sweet

we didn't eat the fish that we caught

last night. it wasn't on the eat list so

we were worried about some cicoterra

so we didn't eat the fish we caught I

feel bad we should have threw it back in

the ocean when we caught it

so right now right we're gonna jump into the blue hole

I don't think Dan's gonna jump!

Zeus has his life jacket on hopefully doesn't

jump in after me! It's a gorgeous day a bit windy

but it's welcome to keeping the bugs away.

I don't know why I'm so nervous.. Okay

here we go. I did it! It was nice and warm yeah!

Zeus is freaking out oh my goodness yes

mommy's alive! It wasn't that bad.

We left Nassau Harbor this morning

fairly early and we're heading to the Exumas

Today. Yeah we didn't feel like

recording too much in Nassau just

because it's another town it doesn't

have the allure of most of the Bahamas

that we'll be showing you guys we just

stopped for fuel, water and a bit of food

and off we go right. We're doing the

yellow bank. We've got to go through some of

these coral heads and that's gonna be

kind of interesting stuff later on today

Yeah it's a really nice day we have

decent wind and and yeah we're out here

sailing in the Bahamas it's freaking

gorgeous!

so we're an Allan Cay and we were

checking out Iguana beach this

morning there's some big iguanas and

little iguanas and I guess these

particular iguanas are native to only

these beaches here which is kind of cool

Zeus just kept on trying to go for them

and we've heard that they might bite so we

had to constrain Zeus he wasn't a lot of

fun. Yeah he was barking and trying to

chase them and he's got this like

high-pitched bark like oh my god.. We have to figure out

how to calm that one down! So our time on the beach was a little bit short.

oh yeah

and we discovered that the bottom of our

boat is pretty super dirty because we've

acquired some hitchhikers swimming

underneath our boat eating the bottom

they're like 3-4 foot long fish that look

kind of like sharks

we're in Hibourne Cay, we're just gonna

walk around the marina

I guess it's $25 a person to walk the

island. it's a private island but we're

just enjoying our walk around here it's

quite gorgeous. Dan took a lot of footage

he'll show you right here! $5 to dispose

of garbage which isn't too bad they have

a small little grocery convenience store

for you to check out it's a pretty

expensive but hey $4 for a carton of

eggs isn't too bad milk it's looking

around like $5 loaf of bread is $7

we've been stuck here at highborne Cay

for about four days now going on five

days I think.. but I've kind of

lost track I'm not even sure but we have

this consistent wind blowing out of the

East it's been like 20 to 30 knots

gusting up to at least 37 at night and

it's us and several other yachts are

just not going anywhere.We

occasionally see a sail or two up in the

distance. People are moving. Yeah there's

some charter boats and they're just

frustrated and they're moving around but

you know it's not it's not good sailing

and even when you go in your dinghy

you're just getting soaking wet from all

the chop like it's just.. it's just bad.

we're just kind of waiting for all this

to pass then we can move on
