last time when sailing Bella Chandra I

hello mr. pig second pack of the day you

don't bite me

oh he's a big boy couple of big old

piggies you guys Wow we're in Staniel

key it's been a good time so far yeah we

anchored between the two majors we got

the big major and the little major and

it has good east and west protection we

were expecting a lot of heavy winds out

of the West when we first got here I

mean we found this to be a pretty good

Anchorage so about three days I think

we'll leave in the morning we got to see

some pigs on big major and they are big

pigs yeah big pigs we Cupid we just

cruised into the beach on her dinghy and

bow to pigs came right up to us yeah a

couple of pigs yeah we only just dig it

into about knee-deep water and just kind

of held the boat there he's worried

about Zeus yeah it's fun

another thing we did today was we

checked out thunder Belgrano you have to

put on your flippers and snorkel rain in

there but I guess that's where they shot

the cool James Bond movie back in the

60s everything so we check that out and

it's pretty cool cave it was fun we went

into town to drop off some garbage and

it was a great walk for Zeus he had to

do it twice though it's a small town

everything's color-coded and you can

tell what stores what by the color it is

the next day we sailed for Georgetown

and Zuma's as soon as we left we had

extremely light winds but we were

prepared for that

there were squalls on the horizon and we

watched for them closely because in

light wind conditions the squall can

mean more wind and Moreland was better

than no wind so we were happy when the

squalls hit us squalls in those

conditions means sailing 5 knots as

opposed to 3 knots when you have a 12

knot wind hitting you but if that squall

were to hit us on a windier day it could

be dangerous and usually we would be

reefing in during a squall sailing from

Staniel key to Georgetown took

approximately a day and a night we had

the fishing line note we were hoping for

wahoo or mahi but unfortunately no luck

we arrived in Georgetown with a high

tide and ready to enter the harbor but

we had to wait for the Sun to come up so

we reduced speed and just kind of hung

around outside the harbor and then went

in at the right time just in time to

catch the cruisers net in the morning

which is broadcast at each day at 8 a.m.

on channel 6

I had purchased some lifeline netting

for Zeus way back but we just haven't

had the downtime in order to install it

but finally Dan has had the opportunity

to do so and we're really happy with the

results

now we're in Georgetown Bahamas now just

did a little bit of shopping in town

here picked up a few groceries and

things we needed and we had conch

fritters for the first time and they

were delicious it's pretty sweet

it's like I guess kind of central to the

Exuma lots of opportunities to resupply

here the groceries are affordable you

can pretty much get everything you need

here before you go
