last time we sailed from mekinese see
through the leftist canal before
arriving at the famous lucky impact
sauce we could not get over the color of
the water we then sailed to Corfu where
we had our last taste of Greece
this week we experienced many firsts on
Kauai and overnight passage through
storms and minefields from Greece to
Croatia Jase finally hooks a fish and we
encounter some spectacular and unusual
wildlife we then arrived and check in to
Dubrovnik Croatia
just about to leave the Anchorage
next stop Croatia our plan route would
take us from cassiopi on the northern
end of Corfu in Greece before we hug the
Albanian Coast past Montenegro and check
in at cruise into Brogdon we're off
they're off we're sorry and half we left
before the Sun came up this morning
because we knew there'd be good winds
today so everyone's make the most of it
[Music]
cruising past Albania since the Corfu in
the background there yeah it's like a
few storms around
[Music]
we need more than crops and wishes for
us to make it
[Music]
stormy weather where we are to make it
through
father's night is over I will guide you
[Music]
[Music]
all right fishers island let's hope this
time we have a better result
all right this bringer in bay bring her
in I don't want to I don't break the law
if he has to fought himself for a while
that's all right
Hey oh yeah we can trust the reading
this time hey well reduce the amount of
powerpoints yeah
and while Allah there's less file chance
still goodbye what's the update
what do you think it is
opening
does it feel being I don't want to talk
about oh it looks quite big
[Music]
you
what have we got here Oh yellowfin tuna
Wow
so uh yeah pretty stoked yes really
we're we're outta grease now or yeah
well you know bein Ian waters so yeah so
it's yet it's been a long time coming so
I'm pretty stoked with it all
yeah the rigging held up well the the
bungee so it did and the bungee wore it
out for you I'd like to say it was a bit
of both
what have we here
well we weren't expecting to catch tuna
[Music]
rice is just buttered up some tuna
so sorry that's really bad
you know we will get better
nice amazing
[Music]
got a bit of a storm that we're keeping
our eye on over Italy we did see lots of
storms forecast for these couple of days
but they all seemed to stay over the
land so hoping she doesn't come any
closer well babe it's about to happen
the inevitable is happening
what's that store yep
and stores everywhere
yeah we're trying to head in between the
storm fronts
I'm really big yeah
we pulled all the sails in engine is on
we're as ready as we'll ever be
with a large storm front ahead that was
impossible to dodge we considered our
options
according to Navionics we were sailing
through a mine field near Albania
anchoring here was probably not an
option although it looked a little
menacing it just brought strong winds
and larger waves and we made it through
unscathed little did we know there were
more storms to come I'm and just
checking out our navigation and most
hold at the moment sailing up towards
Croatia
thought about fighting it still just
over there
and the wind has just picked up to
around 9 knots so we're making the most
of it it is a storm and we've got
everything else my time
so what could go wrong
well we've just completed our first
all-night sale or went pretty
nothing out of the ordinary it was on
the nose and most of the time so we've
been doing a fair bit attacking but the
winds are being pretty consistent about
11 knots of true wind so it's a pretty
good sail
unfortunately the Greek flag has to come
down she's had some good times and she's
had some bad times we did get I think 64
knots up up 64 knots and one night so
why me
so yeah it's a little ratty but we've
loved Greece and we're sad it's coming
to an end
next time next stop so as the Sun
appeared these guys approached before we
knew it about thirty dolphin's were
jumping playing and chasing each other
around Kauai it was a cool experience
and although we didn't know it was just
an appetizer for what was to come
[Music]
for dolphins and sigh leaning towards
Croatia something's gone bad so she's
pretty pretty beautiful night should be
nice so NASA kitties
yeah yeah clear skies so many doubts
they should be nice
we were just getting over the excitement
of the Dolphins when this happened some
much larger fins approached the boat we
didn't have a clue what species they
were at the time but after researching
we learned that these were reso dolphins
have a large been often mistaken for an
orca fin and gets scarring on the skin
in the form of white marks during mating
and when hunting their prey large squid
apparently we were very fortunate as
they aren't known to do much Bower
writing
like he's looking at it
[Music]

[Music]
so babe we've just had an awesome day
seeing dolphins and had a amazing sunset
now we're getting prepped for the night
sale or motor unfortunately there's only
three knots of wind so yeah we've been a
bit lucky we've been able to sail most
of the time but now I've got here just
took the last little step tonight so
we're just getting prepped what we're
doing you know our rules anyway
obviously during the night time we wear
our life jacket traits all for I will
sleep downstairs most of the time so
we'll be the only ones up here so when
we're up here
have to be tethered in
you look like a airplane coaster I'm not
trying to do that and that's just safety
yeah where it's their first night night
sale so if I do everything right or most
things right
and it's just minimize risk yeah so
that's one of the things obviously we
shouldn't be going up the front of the
boat at night time anyway tonight on
this there's a wind appears but if if I
was to want to go up the front I'd have
to like trace up and I don't know
three hour stints yeah there's only the
two of us and we've put a bit of a
lifeline hooked up downside the boat so
if we do have to go up there of a night
time that we can tether even last night
we sailed through the night and there
was no issues and that we've really
enjoyed the night salad you know night
sailings new experience for us and it's
it's really cool that we get to try it
and try something new so gonna put
yourself out there to have these
experiences and we've done that and
we're really grateful for having that
opportunity yeah it's a little bit
daunting at first as well as sailing
away from the side of land but once you
do it it's really
how did I exhilarating as we approach to
brodnik in the dark it was a weird
feeling it's the city we got engaged in
and knew well but the darkness and
approached by sailing boat gave it a new
perspective were met with assistance at
the dock before tres completed the
check-in formalities the Sun started to
rise
we've officially arrived just completed
all the paperwork which is pretty
straightforward and I how long it took
about an hour 20 yeah not that long
pretty good so just customs poor police
Harbormaster and it cost 1404 the
soldier on tax which was the big one
that's 1,400 Cunha and 713 for the
vignette so and that was for for one
month
we got her social on tax form and the
cruising permit will last until the end
of year so yeah thanks for that import
all right
Croatia is one of the most expensive
places to sell however we were happy
there were no extra hidden fees at
check-in that we weren't aware of and we
were very excited to start exploring
this beautiful country
next week we begin to explore the
spectacular Croatian Islands
[Music]
is their place with some all year round
and pina coladas
