last week on Kauai we celebrated Jason's

birthday Montenegro sorted out some

minor boat issues and then left

Montenegro for Croatia this week we sail

up the Croatian Coast towards split and

experience some of the best sailing

conditions we have had so far away with

three days of good winds a little swell

we loved every minute of the trip and

arrived in plenty of time to pick up my

brother maybe some crazy-ass weather

we've seen some in here is a little bit

of wind like the last two days is before

or something like that anyway all

speculation all right well let's get the

sails up we're leaving Solana to

different coffee styles on Kauai

Tracy's is the maka well I just boil

some water and have instant and no both

work sales are up and it's just about

it's not too bad we're cruise long we've

got four days to get up to split so we

taking it easy we just really don't want

to motor so we're just using utilizing

whatever wind we can get and we are

moving forward yeah I guess we're almost

north so it's just what we have to do

but yeah it's on the beam today so

that's good yeah another cracker make it

we wouldn't stay long as there were

strong winds predicted early so we

pulled up the hook and enjoyed the Sun

rising this is our favorite time of day

you really feel alive watching it come

to life over the water

pretty early this morning and it is a

little bit chilly the last couple of

days and the wind is howling through my

so we got up early we look 40 nautical

miles to go from torture like to

we're trying to make the most of the

winds because we've got three days of

winds in all different directions but it

still winds and yeah we're trying to get

up sleep in those three days because

after that there's about four or five

days with no wheels

I make the most of it yeah we should be

able to throw the salad at any second

as

turn the corner into the straight yeah

so pretty excited about that

or the flag has gone nuts behind it

that's a good sign it is

liking everyone was really close and

across the things for the hvar strait

between a bar and branch and hopefully

we've been here a few times there's a

couple of little sneaky Anchorage's that

we like hopefully they are free plan

anyway

we have they're not even see but hvar

so that's another reason we couldn't

stop in the bar

if I had my beard still yeah we would

anyway yeah we do think yeah we'll get

light when we get to practice just

hopefully we can get ink of it putting

we had anchored at you vile smoker

before and depending on how many boats

are around you have the option of time

off to shore or swinging in the bay we

decided to swing as we trust our anchor

and had arrived a little late in the day

the Anchorage is known for its submarine

garages and while the winds were blowing

out in the bay we were well protected

it's very nice to drop the anchor it's

relaxing winds drop now so yeah probably

went okay 50 nautical miles today and we

sailed about 40 of them so we were

pretty happy with that

and I was good sailing so fast and we're

able to enjoy the afternoon so one more

day of sailing tomorrow and then we'll

be in split looks like we're off yes we

are that one knife here um but we must

remember off to split today because it's

the last day of wings like there's lots

of calm days predicted soon so we will

make the most of the wind today it's not

that far to go and yeah 20 nautical

miles of that

only outside I really wasn't sure I was

nice holding and sand and about a

10-minute walk to the old town

well we've had a cracking day sale we've

we actually sailed all day we didn't

motor once so except out of the

Anchorage and yeah we're in split so

we've arrived the sun's going down and

we've got your Roper League

qualification happening of off split I

wouldn't have minded under that game but

uh it's about start perfect sunset so

we're really lucky and we're such a good

style a great great wins so yeah happy

day

this is the sunset so cool like European

nights it's 8 p.m. and the sun's just

coming down and well that's just such a

good atmosphere it's singing happening

over in the stadium over there there's

boats flying past and people having a

good time so that 20 kayaks just came

through yeah everyone's just living you

know and having fun and yeah just makes

you feel really excited about life
