After our huge disappointment not sailing the Atlantic we are welcomed aboard ‘Indian Summer’ to crew on a delivery up to Sveti Vlas in Bulgaria. This 685nm delivery will be with our great friend Mick , Owner and Skipper who unfortunately has to leave wife ‘Pep’ behind to take care of their ailing Dalmation ‘Prince’.
In this episode we cover the first few miles with little power, something we find out to be fouled propeller problems.
We sail overnight from Kas in Turkey to Xerokambos on the beautiful Island of Leros, Greece.

we're on our way down towards cash we

left home a couple of hours ago now to

just take in a steady drive as you take

about five hours about five hours so

we're kind of just less than halfway

there so I've been down to cash who are

meeting up with our friends and pepijn

met her own with area 42 it's name is

Indian summer and the plan is to say

they're up towards Bulgaria and end up

in a marina in Bulgaria and it's back

685 miles to Kamal's so yeah hope itself

in the next couple of days wind

we're on Indian summer which is over

area 40 and our friends boat and it's

lovely we came on yesterday and been

showing around so we've got a bit of an

idea where everything is and we've just

been navigating the ropes ourselves this

morning beautiful evening in cash it's

April it's about the 2019 to think of

20th of April and we've had a fantastic

day of heat it's been about 25-30

degrees and when picked up a little bit

but on the whole it's been absolutely

beautiful we're nearly ready to go it's

Saturday the 21st of April yes and we're

a room the plan is to head off probably

in about half an hour maybe an hour of

time checking the weather at the minute

just for a last-minute check and at the

moment here we've got a nice gentle

breeze so so far so good so we're just

waiting for Mick he's gonna go and pick

up his wife pep she's gonna come down

say goodbye and then we're off exciting

that look organized my first half hour

no no tell them we can do what he wants

on the port side or the left-hand side

of the screen is rose we're just going

to cut past the top of that

both of the Turkish coast line really

roads being one of the Greek islands

we've got

17:02 when occasional gust up to 17

got the engine on but we've managed to

drop the revs a bit and we're doing

about five point two five point three

knots of speed so we're doin okay boys

are then just fiddling with a cooker

it's like problem with the gas there

fiddling my lap we've got a couple of

cargo vessels passing us by they've got

both sails at what speed we doing then

the winds changing between 110 and 12

knots

we're day one left this morning at

quarter past eight were on the 21st of

April I've been a continuously sail

until we get to the island of leros and

we should arrive there possibly tea time

tomorrow

so it'll be about a 36 hour so

so I was last night

it's quite variable is nice he was all

over the place it started off with no

wins and then got some wind and yeah the

sails oh yeah the seals own quite a lot

really

only been on shore two minutes and fan

of Chandler's unbelievable

today we're on Tuesday the 20 or let me

think 21st 22nd 23rd 24th of April and

we're in zero can box on Lee Roth's and

the plan is to head up to four nay today

and it should take probably about five

six hours depending on the wind got no

wind at the moment we're just gonna move

through it and see how we get on and I'm

gonna have breakfast on route it's

beautiful day not to kill and for near

sea is about 30 nautical miles away come

into the zero cam boss state before

yesterday and what speed did we have yes

mm what does the enemy was the current

yeah what does the engine do normally

yeah yeah so we're really struggling

with it one way so filled in to zero can

boss settled for the night and then the

following morning

yeah the underwater camera down had a

look and it looks well covered from

barnacles yeah yeah

so the aloni restaurant which is where

we tied up on one of the more in boys

which are absolutely brilliant down

there and the owner got his diver out he

came and had a little look at it and

said yeah he agreed it was absolutely

dreadful so hey guys so you've got his

scrapers out and did quite a bit of

scraping which we'll put on the video

for you and yeah and difference now is

what yeah which is almost well almost

double what we had yeah which is amazing

so great thanks to them they did a

really good job

and it didn't cost a great deal did it

50 euro to scrape the the best that you

could of the barnacles so it's really

good and we had a brilliant meal weird

drinks they actually gave us some

freebies as well which is really kind of

them so we'll be back not long

I'm sure I'll tidy them up
