hi
so we left roads this morning about nine
o'clock and the winds supposed to be
what 12 knots something like that the
wind
yeah it's about 23 at the moment and as
you can see we've got a nice chunky sea
quite big swells the engines off yeah
well the winds in a reasonable direction
for the monitor
11 meters of debt yeah should be 100
nautical for kind of aiming for cops as
you can see we've got a bit more wind
can't heal it over nicely
we've got about two-thirds of the Genoa
and a first reef in the main prepare to
have jumpers on how many taxis this with
point
with always Telus opportunity to just
explain a few things that have gone on
well it's been a bit of a mess really to
be on so we decided to set off quite
early in the morning about half-past
four from a little bein coloured nose
and head straight towards didn't because
we thought well we've done a bit of
grease and we'll head back to Turkey and
we had some family coming out as well so
that was our incentive to get back we
arrived in did a marina about half past
10:00 in the morning feeling quite
excited that we'd actually made a good
journey we had a good sale and we were
ready to check in so it all started out
fine we went to see the harbor master
first and he stomped a log nice very
friendly statement and centers around to
the port police and the port police took
her passports offers stopped her
passport sent around to the customs
office again very friendly no problem at
time so in the customs office we started
off by given the answers to some of the
questions that they asked us in what
equipment do you have on the boat and
size of the engine and things and as we
were doing that the port policeman came
back into the office and began a
conversation in Turkish which we weren't
really concentrating on had we
concentrated we might have understood a
little bit more we soon realised didn't
take long to realize that there was a
problem though and faces start to drop
in mate and people started to talk to
him on themselves and all of a sudden
we've got the harbor master arrived back
in the office the agent from the marina
arrived in the office along with two
more police and another customs guy and
so we knew there was something wrong
and turns out that basically they were
saying that we weren't allowed to come
back into Turkey and with Kestrel and
that's very confusing for us as we have
residency in Turkey which lasts at the
moment at last two years so no real
reason to stop is coming into Turkey but
what we're saying is that the boat
cannot come back in but we as
individuals can come back in if we want
to bring the boat in we have to have
spent 186 or 185 days out of the country
prior to our arrival we actually don't
spend 185 days out of the country which
meant that to actually make it that time
up we would have to go back to Greece
and spend more time out so now we're in
a bit of a quandary because we're not
allowed to check in to Turkey
