I'm basically removing seal it's very

difficult to see but the selection of

pitting down here and there you can just

sort of see this just very small holes

so the old aerial TV aerials

this is remains my Windex which I've

just taken off the mast the actual

Windex itself which was on this

particular part here blew off in a storm

before we bought the boat so we've had

this dump up the mast for the last year

then I finally taking it off it's very

hard to get a replacement for this

particular thing same as what's gotten

banned you want this lump of silicon was

wrap around the nut inside a very whoops

was wrapped running the nut inside a

very tight fitting and it took a just to

get enough the previous owner had a love

affair with mastic it's everywhere in

the boat

they just keep taking it off well you

not playing with so our new Windex we've

got our new mass headlight which this is

a headlight and we knew it was for these

Palestine beans so this is the unit and

as you can see it has no bulbs and a

rather new traditional bulb what it has

around the edge is a series of LEDs

which are colored so there will be a red

sector a green sectors a white sector

and then the other ones underneath are

for the anchor light and they're all

white and until I don't think they're

light everything but this is what's

going on the masthead

in place of our current master of light

the other thing about this particular

mustard light is it has a very

interesting switch because basically

what happens okay well I'll try and do

some electronics right

it also comes as Gander says with this

switch

which has three positions sort of middle

the idea this switch is it's a polarity

reverser because the cable only has two

hours because these are all diodes that

currently works in one direction so by

reversing the current on one set of

diodes it will work and then when you

reverse the polarity if the direction is

set for the other set of diodes so it

will either be a tri radial light at

something mass or an anchor light

depending where I put this but I still

only need the existing two wire pairs

that come up the mast so I don't need

your saucer and what is very very useful

yep so I think that's very very nifty

idea that clever idea so this will be

installed down here in the cabin and we

just use the standard wiring which will

then yeah the only thing that has to be

done is currently our common goes to one

single wire now of course we're going to

have to have the common separate yes we

are because the power supply for the

steaming light the deck light and the

mouse headlight we're all on the same

common 12 volt line yeah common earth

line you know now we need a separate

earth line for this but it's no big deal

it's just an extra line that we just

simply run up there right bit table so

small jump but nothing this world yep
