Last week, I glued up the square section blank for the 11.2 metre long main mast. This week, it's time to transform that square section into a steadily tapered mast, tapering from the partners to the top and also having a reverse taper from the partners down to the mast foot. I talk about how I've gone about doing exactly that, and show some developments inside the boat.

This is the story of the building of a Jay Benford designed, 31.8ft, junk schooner-rigged cruising sailboat. The videos are a week-by-week record of the build as it progresses and aim to show as much detail as possible of the various aspects of the build.
