hello to you all I am coming to you live

from Indonesia right now I hope you're

all healthy and happy at the moment I

know this is a pretty difficult period

for most people in the world but yeah

we'll get through it I guess I hope

there'll be things left intact

afterwards I thought I'd just give you a

quick update I know I haven't put a

video out for a little while now yeah

we've definitely been having some

hassles as well but yeah could be worse

there's definitely people out there with

a worse situation than us yeah it's so

just a little update we Marie and I are

currently in Indonesia and Homer Hara I

won't tell you too much about it right

now because I'm going to do an episode

about this and in a week or so but yeah

we we flew out of Europe just before it

closed down and then yeah we've we're on

our 13th day now of quarantine at Metis

cottage there's a video about this place

up here in the in the corner so yeah

tomorrow we're finished with that and

then hopefully hopefully we're going to

get back to the boat and in a couple of

days it's been a big mission and cost

quite a bit of money but it looks like

it's going to work out so anyway this

video is the last of the old season many

of you know I've been in Europe for the

last few months shooting snowboarding

earning money to go sailing again

obviously the wind it got cut short

everything got closed down but anyway

this video is the last one I filmed what

would it have been in December so that's

how far behind I am that was obviously

the plan to get through the winter and

keep putting videos out every two weeks

and that worked out pretty good and this

video today is a little bird-watching

tour with the birds of paradise and then

some sailing and then I got some new

stand-up paddleboards from Indiana so

I'll show you some awesome footage of my

friends and I are using them and you

know some of the most beautiful

locations in Raja Ampat sea I hope you

enjoy that and yeah check back in a

couple of weeks as well for pretty much

up-to-date videos of

back in the boat fingers crossed we'll

be on the boat by the time that comes

out

like it's about the storm it's a very

black behind us it's been raining every

day at this time is that thunder and

lightning and then pissing down with

mighty good morning to you all and I

guess you could call it morning it's

about quarter to 4:00 a.m. actually so

it's probably still good night but I've

had a coffee and I even had some

breakfast

the reason I've got up so early today

for is I'm doing a bird-watching tour

now I'm gonna try and see the Wilson

bird of paradise there's only one place

around here you can see this bird it's

at supper Korean village and that's

about a 30-minute scooter ride from here

and then we're gonna walk about an hour

and the forest to get there before

sunrise

so yeah trying to get all my camera gear

together to to dub to capture this

little beast and yeah we'll see how it

goes

anyway try to wake up before I do all

that

though sitting here in the forest it's

about what 7 o'clock 7 o'clock now and

I've just had about an hour of

bird-watching this is the red bird of

paradise and as you can see we just saw

a couple of pretty good interactions a

bit of that a new key bit of mating

going on and lots of jumping around and

posturing and yeah basically this tree

here is obviously their their stomping

ground and the male's just dance around

looking pretty and I hope to attract the

female and every now and again the

female will come over and the males at

all start jumping around even more and

looking their feathers around and yeah

and if the females feeling it and

looking looking like she's liking the

male Lila she'll let one of them climb

aboard oh yeah pretty cool pretty far

away I had to get photos but the video

camera it works pretty good but now it's

all over they're probably all off to

work for the day and a little morning

the little morning session is done so

back at the bike now my little scooter

over here that was pretty cool little

adventure actually it was a bit of a

mess up I probably sit at the start of

this I'm going to see the Wilson bird of

paradise what you just saw there was the

red bird of paradise but there was a

mess up with with the OP either God

didn't speak much English and that

probably didn't make it clear enough but

anyway so it was still good I mean it

was really good it was this experience

now with the red was much better than

the last one I had so yeah it's all good

and I'll go and see the Wilson another

time so now I'm going back to the boat

and I'm gonna leave why sigh and sail

over to a little Bay to hang out for a

few days so I'll show you a bit of that

well I was back in Europe recently I

stopped in at Indiana and they gave me a

couple of new paddle boards thanks guys

I've been on the Ambassador team for

Indiana for a couple of years now I use

their products pretty much most days

when I'm on the boat so it's a perfect

combination I'm really really stoked to

well everything the whole thing is

really cool so I thought I'd show you my

really just want to go and ride these

pump we've got a three piece pedal then

can't get it wrong it's got a groove on

here slides right in same on this end

it's got a group you can't get it in the

wrong way and then the board itself

there's a keel very soon without that

you would go around in circles there's a

repair kit that's it I'll get rid of the

bag and I'll pump this back up

the Finn goes in like this smarter don't

push the front in turn it that way and

then tighten it down couple years ago I

had a kayak on the boat and I thought

that was the bee's knees for sailors you

know I've got the dinging of the output

but to get around and see things and I

wasn't a big fan of stand-up paddling

but uh in the end offered me a board so

I took it noticed the transforms like my

sailing experience the difference

between sitting down on a kayak and

being close to the water and edits the

reflection you don't really see into it

you stand up on one of these things and

buzz around and water this deep over the

correlation of paddled over top or

drifted over top of sharks and turtles

and and all sorts of things and the view

down into the coral is nearly better

than when you're snorkeling for the

honors and you can do pretty big

distances on this I often do I'll go

around this whole island it'll take me

about an hour good thing with these

things are they pack up into this nice

bag that I showed you I don't like to

have things on deck when I'm doing

passages and if I'm just going a half a

day solo leave these pumped up and it's

time to the rails but overnight passages

Oh roll these I put them in their bags

down below I like to have my deck super

clean I don't have any cheering hands up

they don't have anything up there come

upstairs the next day they get pumped up

immediately and I'm using it every

single day I've got a little competition

the Missoula when I was down there a

couple of weeks ago so you you sort of

get to see how I use these things and

how incredible they are
