Leg No.3 from Coffs Harbour to the Gold Coast was a wild one! We left Coffs under a black sky with favourable winds. Because of exit and entry timing I'd chosen to leave at 16.30 in order to arrive at the Seaway at first light for that bar crossing. This meant the passage was mostly done in darkness. We never saw winds in excess of 25kts but the sea-state was unpleasant to say the least. Wind against current! I'm happy to see this part of the East coast behind us now.
