#CROSSWIND #DOCKING (LEEWARD SIDE)
Steps:
1) At low speed, turn the boat directly into the wind until you are about a half boat length from the dock.
2) Make a tight turn to bring the boat parallel to the dock.
3) Put the engine in reverse to stop.
4) Secure the aft midship spring line.
5) Shift to forward and turn the wheel so the rudder moves away from the dock. This will hold the boat against...#CROSSWIND #DOCKING (LEEWARD SIDE)

Dos and Don'ts:
Do step onto the dock from the shrouds with dock lines in hand.
Don't be afraid to abandon a docking that is not working and try again.
Do use midship spring lines to bring the boat alongside the dock and hold it in position.
